Papertake Weekly GDT (#4)

Síðasta kortið mitt sem gestahönnuður hjá Papertake Weekly :o( Það var rosa skemmtilegt að prófa þetta en allt tekur víst enda um síðir ;o) Í þetta sinn er skissa til að fara eftir og auka valkostur að nota gult og fjólublátt til heiðurs styrktaraðila vikunnar sem er netverslunin Lilac Lemon Designs.

Sadly this is my last card as GDT for Papertake Weekly :o( I have enjoyed this experience very much but all things must come to an end or at least that´s what they say ;o) This week we have a wonderful sketch by Dawny to follow and an optional twist is to include the colours lilac and lemon as the sponsor this week is Lilac Lemon Designs. As these are not colours I use a lot, I went through some of my older scraps to find suitable papers. The image I used is from hÄnglar&stÄnglar.

Papertake Weekly GDT (#3)

Þriðja vikan mín sem gestahönnuður hjá Papertake Weekly og því miður bara ein vika eftir :o/ Ég er búin að hafa rosa gaman af þessu :o)

My third week as GDT for Papertake Weekly, "summer fun" is the theme this week. I am sure that a game of golf qualifies as "summer fun" (at least for those who play golf) although this poor guy doesn´t seem to be having much fun :o) I used a pair of golf tees as embellishments and also a golf score card. The sentiment is a play with words in Icelandic referring to the green on the golf course, the word "grínið" can also mean a joke. I was trying to keep other embellishments to a minimum as this is a guy card, but had to include one flower anyway :o)

Papertake Weekly GDT (#2)

Þetta er önnur vikan mín sem gestahönnuður hjá Papertake Weekly. Ég speglaði skissuna til fella hana betur að myndinni sem mig langaði að nota.

This is my second week as a GDT for Papertake Weekly. This week we have a fabulous sketch to follow. I mirrored the sketch to make it fit the image better.

Stitch markers

Ég bjó til sett af sex prjónamerkjum og gaf þau góðri konu sem litla þakkargjöf.

I made a set of six stitch markers and gave them to a nice lady as a small thank you gift. I decorated the bag with the knitting girl from hÄnglar&stÄnglar. I like making these and will definately make a few more :o)

Papertake Weekly GDT :o)

Jibbí !! Ég varð þess heiðurs aðnjótandi að fá að vera gestahönnuður á Papertake Weekly blogginu í 4 vikur !! Þessa vikuna er áskorunin að nota blóm (ehh ... ekki mikil áskorun fólgin í því sosum!!) og þetta er kortið mitt. Ég er enn í vintage-ham og prentaði myndina út af netinu. Fannst soldið sniðugt að nota blaðsíðu úr gamalli bók þar sem sagan er um fugla :o)

Woohoo !! I was lucky enough to get to be a guest design team member on Papertake Weekly for 4 weeks !! This week the challenge is to use flowers (easy peasy!!) I am still in vintage mode and used a picture I printed from the internet. I am such a sissy when it comes to bulky flowers on my cards. As much as I love all those beautiful large roses and flowers I hate it when the cards don´t fit in any regular envelope. So I usually save the dimension for boxtops and such - unless of course the card is extra special and not supposed to go in an envelope :o) Maybe I just have to change my way of thinking ;o)

This week´s challenge on Sukkersött is to make a card with any kind of congratulations. I am entering this wedding card with a vintage photo printed from the internet. The PP is from a pad from Paper Cellar, the line is called Wedding. The border punch is from Martha Stewart.

Svindlaði pínu pons á skissu vikunnar á Papertake Weekly blogginu en vona að það komi ekki að sök. Tek þátt engu að síður :o)

I am entering this card in this week´s challenge on Papertake Weekly. I hope this qualifies even if I cheated a little bit on the sketch. I think you can still recognize the sketch, I did mirror it though. I am totally in love with my new MS Punch Around the Page punches and the gorgeous PP are from a pad from Paper Cellar, the line is called Wedding.

Eitt gamaldags barnakort í áskorun vikunnar á Sukkersött blogginu. Prentaði myndina út af netinu og notaði blaðsíðu úr gamalli barnabók.

I had been thinking about making a vintage card for a few days when Sukkersött posted a new challenge on Friday and it happened to be "vintage" :o) So I printed a picture I found on the Internet and made a vintage baby card.

Tvö fermingarkort sem ég gerði nýlega / Two confirmation cards that I made a few days ago.

A box of cards

Box eftir uppskrift frá Randi og 6 lítil tækifæriskort í stíl. Gaf þetta sem hluta af lítilli afmælisgjöf í dag.

I made this box following Randi´s template and made 6 small cards to match. My first attempt at closing the box with a magnet and I love it!! Must buy me some more of those. Thanks for all your inspiration Randi :o) This was a part of a small birthday gift that I gave away today. I think this is a nice thing to have when you need a card on short notice.

Cute Card Thursday #105

Þegar ég sá fyrir nokkrum dögum flotta kringlótta boxið sem Maya gerði mundi ég eftir staflanum af Dímon-boxum sem hefur safnast upp hjá mér og ég ekki tímt að henda. Ég tók mig því til í dag og skreytti eitt slíkt og ætla að skrá það til leiks á Cute Card Thursday bloggið þar sem áskorunin þessa vikuna er "dimensions" sem gefur til kynna að sköpunarverkið eigi að vera allt annað en flatt :o)

A few days ago when I saw on Maya´s blog the lovely round box she had made I remembered my pile of small round cheese-boxes that I have not had the heart to throw away. So today I altered one of them and I am entering it in this week´s challenge on Cute Card Thursday which is "dimensions". The large rose I made myself using a 6 petal flower punch, love that technique :o) The crystals were a gift from the lovely and talented Randi, thanks Randi, I am so in love with these crystals now :o)

Ferming / Confirmation

Ég var beðin að gera annað fermingarkort svipað því sem ég setti hér inn fyrir tæpum 2 vikum. Fattaði þegar ég var að gera þetta að ég nota þennan bláa lit nánast aldrei!!

I was asked to make a confirmation card similar to the one I posted here 2 weeks ago only with different colours. I then realized that I almost never use this blue colour. I don´t know why I don´t use blue more, I like blue!!
