A box of cards

Box eftir uppskrift frá Randi og 6 lítil tækifæriskort í stíl. Gaf þetta sem hluta af lítilli afmælisgjöf í dag.

I made this box following Randi´s template and made 6 small cards to match. My first attempt at closing the box with a magnet and I love it!! Must buy me some more of those. Thanks for all your inspiration Randi :o) This was a part of a small birthday gift that I gave away today. I think this is a nice thing to have when you need a card on short notice.

Cute Card Thursday #105

Þegar ég sá fyrir nokkrum dögum flotta kringlótta boxið sem Maya gerði mundi ég eftir staflanum af Dímon-boxum sem hefur safnast upp hjá mér og ég ekki tímt að henda. Ég tók mig því til í dag og skreytti eitt slíkt og ætla að skrá það til leiks á Cute Card Thursday bloggið þar sem áskorunin þessa vikuna er "dimensions" sem gefur til kynna að sköpunarverkið eigi að vera allt annað en flatt :o)

A few days ago when I saw on Maya´s blog the lovely round box she had made I remembered my pile of small round cheese-boxes that I have not had the heart to throw away. So today I altered one of them and I am entering it in this week´s challenge on Cute Card Thursday which is "dimensions". The large rose I made myself using a 6 petal flower punch, love that technique :o) The crystals were a gift from the lovely and talented Randi, thanks Randi, I am so in love with these crystals now :o)

Ferming / Confirmation

Ég var beðin að gera annað fermingarkort svipað því sem ég setti hér inn fyrir tæpum 2 vikum. Fattaði þegar ég var að gera þetta að ég nota þennan bláa lit nánast aldrei!!

I was asked to make a confirmation card similar to the one I posted here 2 weeks ago only with different colours. I then realized that I almost never use this blue colour. I don´t know why I don´t use blue more, I like blue!!

Eitt svona afþvíbara ... engin áskorun. Var að prófa að nota textamiðana sem ég prentaði út og er rosa ánægð með.

No challenge this time, just a little something to try out the tickets I just recently printed from my computer. The sentiment is in Icelandic and refers to the bowl of apples in the girl´s lap. Love the Twinkle Tots from the Greeting Farm, such cute images.

Friday Sketchers #93

This sketch is from Friday Sketchers. I made a gatefold card as I think it suits the sketch nicely but I am not too happy with how the card turned out. The card opens by untying the ribbon.

I am entering this confirmation card in two challenges, the sketch is from Papertake Weekly and on Cute Card Thursday the challenge this week is "celebrations". I think a confirmation should qualify as a celebration :o) I heat embossed the cross in gold and used some gold ribbon to match.

Friday Sketchers #92 & Spoon Full of Sugar #93

Þetta kort gerði ég með tvær áskoranir í huga, skissan er af Friday Sketchers blogginu og á A Spoon Full of Sugar á að nota perlur (beads).

I made this card with two challenges in mind, the sketch is from Friday Sketchers and on A Spoon Full of Sugar the challenge is to use beads. I thread a few beads onto the heart pin, hope you can see them in my photo. I distressed all edges and ran the round one through the sewing machine. Funny how some images are easier to color than others. This is one of those that I find are not so easy to color, I always seem to struggle with it somehow. Oh well, it will have to do this time.

Þetta kort gerði ég með 3 áskoranir í huga. Skissan er af Whiff of Joy, á Cute Card Thursday á að nota borða (hann sést reyndar ekki vel, er gulur og gegnsær) og á Spoon Full of Sugar á að nota Distress Inks, perlur og glimmer.

I am entering this card in 3 challenges. Bev´s wonderful sketch is from Whiff of Joy, on Cute Card Thursday the challenge is "ribbon" (mine is a bit hard to find, it is yellow and seethrough) and on Spoon Full of Sugar the challenge is "Distress Inks, pearls and glitter". Now I hope I am not stretching the last one too far, I didn´t color the image with distress inks but I distressed all edges with inks, hope it qualifies :o) Not sure if you can see the glitter, I put some stickles on the roses, Willow´s jewelry and the oval edges of the image.

Þetta box gerði ég eftir sniði frá Randi. Ég hafði boxið þunnt því að innihaldið er þunnt, nefnilega gjafakort :o) Þetta er mitt framlag í áskorun vikunnar á Totally Gorjuss blogginu, þar á að nota blóm.

I made this box following Randi´s template and I made a matching card. This is my entry in this week´s challenge on Totally Gorjuss which is "flower power" - my first time there :o)

Þessa kommóðu gerði ég handa vinkonu. Hún gegnir hlutverki gjafakassa, í skúffurnar lét ég smotterí sem hún fékk í afmælisgjöf. Þetta er mitt framlag í áskorun vikunnar á Sukkersött blogginu þar sem á að gera eitthvað handa vini og það á að innihalda einhver orð um vináttuna.

I made this chest of drawers and matching tag for a friend. I put some nice little things in the drawers and gave this to her as a birthday present. On the tag is a verse about friendship from ancient Icelandic poetry. I am entering this in this week´s challenge on Sukkersött which is to make something for a friend and include some words about friendship.

I was asked to make a card for the baptism of a little boy and this is what I came up with. The roses are not so yellow IRL, they are actually more grey.

Eitt fljótlegt - A quick one

Úff, loksins leit nýtt kort dagsins ljós !! Ég er búin að vera í þvílíkri kortalægð, hef frekar setið og prjónað ef ég hef átt lausa stund. En nú vantaði mig eitt afmæliskort í snarheitum og þurfti að redda því á nó tæm :o) Ég henti því þessu korti saman og er vonandi komin í gírinn aftur.

Finally a new card !! I have been so lazy with my cardmaking, instead I have been knitting a bit. But last week I needed a really really quick birthday card so I threw this together in a flash. I am hoping that I am now back in the saddle :o)
