Just Magnolia #110

Annað kort úr pakkningunni frá DCWV, bæði þessi röndótti og þessi mynstraði eru með glimmer í og því glimmeraði ég blómin líka :o) Ég klæddi svo Edwin í teinótt jakkaföt í stíl við bakgrunnspappírinn. Ég reyndi að halda skrautinu í lágmarki, fannst einhvern veginn þetta vera svo "clean and simple" að of mikið skraut eða t.d. græn laufblöð myndu skemma þá heildarmynd ;o) Með þessu tek ég þátt í áskorun vikunnar á Just Magnolia and H&S blogginu sem er "hvað sem er" að viðbættum aukafídus sem er að nota blúndu.

Another card with paper from my DCWV pack, both the striped and patterned papers are glittery so I glittered the flowers to match :o) I dressed Edwin in a striped suit to match the background paper. I tried to keep the embellishments to a minimum, I felt that the card breathed "clean and simple" and that look would be damaged with f.ex. green leaves or more embellishments. I am entering this card in this week´s challenge on Just Magnolia and H&S which is "anything goes" with lace as an extra option.

Creative Card Crew challenge

Með þessu korti tek ég þátt í áskorun á Creative Card Crew blogginu, hef ekki tekið þátt þar áður. Þessa vikuna er þemað "for a diva". Var að byrja að nota pappír úr pakkningu frá DCWV, vá, þetta er sko pappír að mínu skapi :o)

I am entering this card in a challenge on the Creative Card Crew challenge blog, my first time there. The challenge this week is "for a diva". I love my new paper pack from DCWV, some of the papers are glittery like the one behind the image here although it is difficult to see in the photo. I added some glitter to the flowers to match the paper.

A Spoonfull of Sugar #154

Í dag fékk ég að heimsækja 3 daga gamla frænku mína, þvílíkt krútt :o) Þetta kort fylgdi gjöfinni sem ég tók með mér. Með þessu tek ég þátt í áskorun hjá A Spoonfull of Sugar þar sem á að nota blóm.

Today I went to see a cute little girl who is only 3 days old :o) Of course I brought her a present and this is the card that I made to go with it. I am entering this in this week´s challenge on A Spoonfull of Sugar which is "flower power".

Fótbolti / Football

Síðasta fermingarkortið mitt þetta vorið held ég :o) Viðtakandinn æfir fótbolta og heldur með Man Utd.

I am almost sure that this is my last confirmation card this spring :o) This is for a football fan who supports Man Utd.

A Spoonful of Sugar & Alphabet Challenge

Útskriftarkort gert eftir skabalóni frá Donnu. Mér finnst ekki þurfa mikið skraut á svona kort en varð nú samt að setja smá blóm :o)

A graduation card made with one of Donna´s templates. This is the type of hats that graduates wear where I come from :o) I am entering this card in two challenges: On A Spoonful of Sugar the theme is "anything goes" and on the Alphabet Challenge blog the theme for C is "clean and simple". After some consideration I decided that this is a clean and simple card as I did not use much embellishments although I can never do without some paper roses :o)

Scrappekammeret #29

Annað brúðkaupskort. Ég þarf greinilega að fara að finna mér nýja skissu til að vinna eftir, er ekki annars þetta lúkk orðið pínu þreytt? ;o) Tek með þessu korti þátt í áskorun á bloggi sem ég hef ekki tekið þátt í áður, Scrappekammeret heitir það og þar má í þetta sinn taka þátt með hverju sem er.

Another wedding card. Looks like I have to find me a new sketch to work with, this same old look is getting a bit tiresome, don´t you think? ;o) I am entering this card in a challenge on Scrappekammeret, my first time there. The theme is "anything goes".

Ást er ... / Love is ...

Hér kemur eitt óhefðbundið brúðkaupskort fyrir brúðhjón sem giftu sig ekki í kirkju og brúðurin var ekki í hvítum kjól heldur fjólubláum. Inni í kortinu er svo seinni hlutinn af textanum "... að gifta sig í fjólubláu".

I made an untraditional wedding card for a couple who got married without going to a church. The bride had on a lovely purple dress and I got inspired to use that info in the text. On the front the text reads "Love is ..." and on the inside is the rest of the sentence: "... to wear purple to your wedding".

Ferming / Confirmation

Hér koma tvö fermingarkort sem voru pöntuð hjá mér. Mér finnst alltaf pínu snúið að gera strákakort, ég reyni að hafa þau ekki eins mikið skreytt, en þó mega þau ekki vera of tómleg :o)

Here are two confirmation cards. I think it is always a bit tricky to make cards for boys as I don´t want them to be overdecorated, but I don´t want them to look too empty either :o)

Eitt boltakort í viðbót, í þetta sinn er það fótbolti handa fermingardreng :o)

Another sports card, this time a football for a boy who had his confirmation :o) Again I used the football template by Donna.

Boltaíþróttir / Sports

Ég var beðin að gera fermingarkort fyrir handbolta- og körfuboltaiðkendur. Ég notaði fótboltaskabalón frá Donnu til að gera handboltakortin, hafði bara alla reitina eins á litinn, en ekki suma hvíta og suma svarta eins og fótboltinn er. Svo bjó ég sjálf til skabalón fyrir körfuboltann með því að klippa út mynd sem ég fann á netinu.

I was asked to make some confirmation cards for kids who play handball and basketball. I used the football template by Donna to make the handball cards, I just made all the pieces with the same colour cardstock. I made the basketball template myself by cutting out a picture I found on the Internet. These are fun to make, next I will make two football cards.

One box, three challenges

Með þessu hjartaboxi tek ég þátt í þremur áskorunum, í þessum síðastnefndu tveimur hef ég ekki tekið þátt áður.

I am entering this heart shaped box in three different challenges:
Totally Gorjuss - pearls and lace
Stamp Something - cream and green
Southern Girls - flowers

In this box I gave away some home made jewelry as a birthday gift and put a personal greeting inside the lid after I took the photo :o)

Friday Sketchers #144

Ég var beðin að gera sextugsafmæliskort og ákvað að nota skissuna af Friday Sketchers blogginu.

I was asked to make a card for a 60 years old lady and decided to use the sketch from the Friday Sketchers blog. Love this sketch, but I felt I had to move the sentiment a short distance :o) Sorry for the bad photo.
