Sketch Saturday #119

Með þessari afmælisgjöf handa vinkonu tek ég þátt í skissuáskorun vikunnar á Sketch Saturday blogginu. Mig langaði að prófa að gera svona "trönukort" og skellti einni skúffu undir til að setja í skartgripi sem ég gerði líka. Þetta er því heimaframleiðsla frá A til Ö :o)

This birthday gift for a friend is my entry in this week´s sketch challenge on Sketch Saturday. I got some inspiration from the talented Bev and made an easel card with a drawer underneath in which I put some jewelry that I made. I am pleased to say that my friend was delighted with this gift :o)

Áskorun vikunnar á Sukkersött blogginu er svo létt að það er bara ekki hægt að taka ekki þátt, það á nefnilega að nota blóm og perlur :o) Þó að nú sé ekki tími ferminga var ég af sérstökum ástæðum beðin að gera eitt fermingarkort í ágúst.

This week´s challenge on Sukkersött is an easy one (flowers and pearls) and I just have to participate :o) This lovely PP is from Paper Cellar, the image is from Whiff of Joy, the edge punch is from Martha Stewart and the beautiful cream flower was crocheted by my friend Magnea, don´t you just love it?

Ég var beðin að gera kort handa áttræðum stangveiðimanni. Ég fann engan stimpil sem mér fannst passa svo að ég prentaði út þessa mynd af netinu, ég held að þetta komi bara ágætlega út :o)

I was asked to make a card for a 80 years old man who likes fishing. I didn´t find a fitting stamp so I printed this picture from the internet, I think I like the way it turned out :o)

Afmæliskort / Birthday Card

Frekar fljótlegt kort sem ég gerði handa fertugri vinkonu. Myndin er víst eitthvað óskýr en er betri ef maður smellir á hana og skoðar hana stærri.

A quick-ish card that I made for a friend who just turned 40. PP is from BasicGrey, flowers from Prima. My photo seems to be a bit blurry, it is better if you click on it and view it larger.

Brúðkaup / Wedding

Ég var beðin að gera tvö brúðkaupskort, annað átti ekki að vera með mynd af brúði í brúðarkjól, þess vegna hafði hana í lituðum kjól og ekki með brúðarvönd. Vonandi verður sú sem pantaði kortin ánægð :o)

I was asked to make two wedding cards, on one of them the bride was not supposed to be in a traditional wedding dress, so I coloured her dress to match the paper instead and skipped the bouquet. I hope the lady who requested these cards will be happy :o)

Golfdrotting / Golf Queen

Annað golfkort gert eftir sömu skissu og það síðasta, þessi skissa er svo Önnuleg að ég á örugglega eftir að nota hana oft :o) Ég dró fram gamla tíglótta Chatterbox pappírinn minn sem ég hef ekki notað mjög lengi, hann er eitthvað svo golflegur.

Another golfcard following the same sketch as the last one. I like this sketch and will probably use it often. I dug out my old Chatterbox paper, I think this pattern is great for golfcards. The other two papers are BasicGrey, the image is High Hopes.

Vintage

Tvö gamaldags kort sem ég er nýbúin að gera, engin áskorun, bara svona afþvíbara :o) Mér finnst gaman að nota svona myndir inn á milli sem smá tilbreytingu frá lituðum myndum.

Two vintage cards that I recently finished, no challenge, just something I wanted to do :o) I like using vintage photos every now and then, I think it makes a nice change from stamping and colouring.

Golfstjarnan / The Golf Star

Þetta kort gerði ég með þrjár áskoranir í huga: Skissan er af Sketch Saturday, á High Hopes á að nota stjörnur og á Cute Card Thursday er þemað sumar.

I made this card with three challenges in mind: The lovely sketch is from Sketch Saturday, on High Hopes the challenge is to use stars and on Cute Card Thursday the theme is summer. I must confess I have not yet mastered the pearl pen from Viva Decor, please don´t laugh at my attempt with it on this card :o/ You might need a magnifying glass to see the three tiny pearls in the bottom left corner, I wanted them to be small, but perhaps not quite this small ... LOL. Looks like I have to practice a little bit with this :o) The paper is from Paper Cellar and the image is from High Hopes.

Spegill spegill ... / Mirror mirror ...

Ég skreytti spegil frá IKEA og gaf frænku minni í afmælisgjöf. Myndin er af hundinum hennar.

I decorated a mirror from IKEA to give to my niece for her birthday. The photo is of her dog. I discovered that a mirror is not the easiest thing to photograph, I kept seeing some reflections I didn´t want ... LOL. The PP is BasicGrey and the flowers and butterfly are Prima.

Bildmålarna #1

Bildmålarna eru að byrja með áskoranir á blogginu sínu. Það þarf að nota stimpil frá þeim og fyrsta áskorunin er að gera sumarkort. Mér finnst þessi stimpill svo sumarlegur.

Bildmålarna are starting to have challenges on their blog. A Bildmålarna image is required and the first challenge is to make a summer card. I love the image I used on this card and I think it is quite summery. I don´t know why I coloured both her pants and top in the same colour, I didn´t realize I had done that until the colouring was almost finished!! The papers are Perhaps from BasicGrey.

Papertake Weekly GDT (#4)

Síðasta kortið mitt sem gestahönnuður hjá Papertake Weekly :o( Það var rosa skemmtilegt að prófa þetta en allt tekur víst enda um síðir ;o) Í þetta sinn er skissa til að fara eftir og auka valkostur að nota gult og fjólublátt til heiðurs styrktaraðila vikunnar sem er netverslunin Lilac Lemon Designs.

Sadly this is my last card as GDT for Papertake Weekly :o( I have enjoyed this experience very much but all things must come to an end or at least that´s what they say ;o) This week we have a wonderful sketch by Dawny to follow and an optional twist is to include the colours lilac and lemon as the sponsor this week is Lilac Lemon Designs. As these are not colours I use a lot, I went through some of my older scraps to find suitable papers. The image I used is from hÄnglar&stÄnglar.

Papertake Weekly GDT (#3)

Þriðja vikan mín sem gestahönnuður hjá Papertake Weekly og því miður bara ein vika eftir :o/ Ég er búin að hafa rosa gaman af þessu :o)

My third week as GDT for Papertake Weekly, "summer fun" is the theme this week. I am sure that a game of golf qualifies as "summer fun" (at least for those who play golf) although this poor guy doesn´t seem to be having much fun :o) I used a pair of golf tees as embellishments and also a golf score card. The sentiment is a play with words in Icelandic referring to the green on the golf course, the word "grínið" can also mean a joke. I was trying to keep other embellishments to a minimum as this is a guy card, but had to include one flower anyway :o)
