1 card - 3 challenges

Þetta kort gerði ég með 3 áskoranir í huga. Skissan er af Whiff of Joy, á Cute Card Thursday á að nota borða (hann sést reyndar ekki vel, er gulur og gegnsær) og á Spoon Full of Sugar á að nota Distress Inks, perlur og glimmer.

I am entering this card in 3 challenges. Bev´s wonderful sketch is from Whiff of Joy, on Cute Card Thursday the challenge is "ribbon" (mine is a bit hard to find, it is yellow and seethrough) and on Spoon Full of Sugar the challenge is "Distress Inks, pearls and glitter". Now I hope I am not stretching the last one too far, I didn´t color the image with distress inks but I distressed all edges with inks, hope it qualifies :o) Not sure if you can see the glitter, I put some stickles on the roses, Willow´s jewelry and the oval edges of the image.

Totally gorjuss #18

Þetta box gerði ég eftir sniði frá Randi. Ég hafði boxið þunnt því að innihaldið er þunnt, nefnilega gjafakort :o) Þetta er mitt framlag í áskorun vikunnar á Totally Gorjuss blogginu, þar á að nota blóm.

I made this box following Randi´s template and I made a matching card. This is my entry in this week´s challenge on Totally Gorjuss which is "flower power" - my first time there :o)

Sukkersött #73

Þessa kommóðu gerði ég handa vinkonu. Hún gegnir hlutverki gjafakassa, í skúffurnar lét ég smotterí sem hún fékk í afmælisgjöf. Þetta er mitt framlag í áskorun vikunnar á Sukkersött blogginu þar sem á að gera eitthvað handa vini og það á að innihalda einhver orð um vináttuna.

I made this chest of drawers and matching tag for a friend. I put some nice little things in the drawers and gave this to her as a birthday present. On the tag is a verse about friendship from ancient Icelandic poetry. I am entering this in this week´s challenge on Sukkersött which is to make something for a friend and include some words about friendship.

I was asked to make a card for the baptism of a little boy and this is what I came up with. The roses are not so yellow IRL, they are actually more grey.

Eitt fljótlegt - A quick one

Úff, loksins leit nýtt kort dagsins ljós !! Ég er búin að vera í þvílíkri kortalægð, hef frekar setið og prjónað ef ég hef átt lausa stund. En nú vantaði mig eitt afmæliskort í snarheitum og þurfti að redda því á nó tæm :o) Ég henti því þessu korti saman og er vonandi komin í gírinn aftur.

Finally a new card !! I have been so lazy with my cardmaking, instead I have been knitting a bit. But last week I needed a really really quick birthday card so I threw this together in a flash. I am hoping that I am now back in the saddle :o)

2009 Top 10

Gleðilegt nýtt ár !! Eins og svo margir aðrir kortabloggarar ákvað ég að rifja upp kortin sem ég gerði á síðasta ári og velja mín uppáhalds. Þetta eru semsagt þau 10 sem ég er ánægðust með, en í engri sérstakri röð.

Þessa opnu lét ég í einn jólapakkann, þetta er önnur opnan af aðeins tveimur sem ég hef skrappað á árinu, ég hef meira verið í kortagerðinni.

This is a 2 page LO which I gave away as a Christmas present. It is only the second LO I have done this year, I have been concentrating more on cardmaking. Maybe I should make it a New Years resolution to do some more scrapping ;o)

Corrosive Challenge #37

Það er skissuáskorun á Corrosive Challenges blogginu þessa vikuna. Ég var svo ánægð með pappírinn sem ég notaði á síðasta korti að ég notaði hann aftur í þetta kort. Myndin af kortinu er hræðileg, en ég get ekki beðið eftir dagsbirtu til að taka myndina því að ég er að fara að gefa kortið á eftir.

This week there is a sketch challenge on Corrosive Challenges. I liked the PP combo I used on my last card so much that I used it again this time. Sorry for the terrible photo, I can´t wait for daylight as I am giving this card away in a few minutes.

Sketch Saturday #76 & Just Magnolia

Á sama hátt og þegar stundum gengur allt á afturfótunum þegar ég er að koma saman korti þá gengur stundum allt eins og í sögu. Þannig var það með þetta kort, það small bara saman og ég er mjög ánægð með útkomuna jafnvel þótt mér hafi oft tekist betur upp með litunina :o) Áskorunin á Just Magnolia blogginu er "distressing" og skissan er af Sketch Saturday blogginu.

This card almost made itself so to speak, everything went very smoothly in the process and I am extremely happy with how it turned out even though this is not my best coloring job so far :o) The challenge on Just Magnolia this time is "distressing" and the sketch is from Sketch Saturday.

Barnakort / A baby card

Mig langaði að prófa að nota þennan sæta baby-borða þannig að þetta kort varð eiginlega til í kringum hann :o) Engin áskorun í þetta sinn, bara svona "af því bara" :o)

I wanted to try this cute baby-ribbon so that was the first thing I pulled out and then I kind of went from there :o) No challenge this time, just something I wanted to do :o)

Þetta kort gerði ég með tvær áskoranir í huga; skissan er af Sketch Saturday áskoranablogginu og á Cute Card Thursday á að nota charms. Það var nú ekki erfitt því ég er einmitt með charms-dellu þessa dagana ;o)

I made this card with two challenges in mind; the sketch is from Sketch Saturday and on Cute Card Thursday the challenge is to use charms. That one was easy as I am rather hooked on charms at the moment ;o)
