Tvö gamaldags kort / two vintage cards

Þessi tvö gamaldags kort gerði ég um daginn og notaði myndir sem ég prentaði út af netinu. Engin skissa, engin áskorun, bara eitthvað sem mig langaði að gera :o) Mér finnst skemmtilegt að nota svona myndir með, svona til að breyta aðeins til frá stimplunum. Kringlótta miðann og pappírinn undir myndunum prentaði ég líka út og stimplaði svo afmæliskveðju á þennan kringlótta.

These two cards I made using some vintage images which I printed from the Internet. No sketch, no challenge, just something I wanted to do :o) I like using such images now and then when I want to do something different than stamping and coloring. I printed the round label and the layers underneath the images as well and then I stamped the sentiment on the round label.

Whiff of Joy - nýir stimplar / new release

Það eru nýir stimplar væntanlegir frá Whiff of Joy þann 14. febrúar. Í þetta sinn er miðaldaþema, meðal myndefnis er kastali, prinsessa og hirðfífl. Á blogginu hennar Katharinu (hér) má sjá sýnishorn af fíneríinu, hún er að lauma inn einni og einni mynd þessa vikuna :o)

A new release from Whiff of Joy will be out on February 14th. This is a medieval collection and the images include a castle, a princess and a jester. Check out Katharina´s blog (here) to see some previews, she is posting some wonderful cards with these new images this week :o)

Kraftin´ Kimmie´s Birthday Celebrations #6

Þetta kort gerði ég fyrir síðustu áskorunina í afmælisvikunni hjá Kimmie. Í þetta sinn átti að nota stelpu- eða strákastimpil og blóm. Þetta varð hálfgert fljótheitakort, en það kemur nú samt bara ágætlega út held ég.

I am entering this rather quick card to challenge #6 in Kraftin´ Kimmie´s celebration challenges. This time the challenge was to use a boy or girl stamp and some flowers. I think this card turned out OK although I wasn´t able to spend too much time on it.

Kraftin´ Kimmie´s Birthday Celebrations #4

Áskorun nr. 4 í afmælisvikunni hjá Kimmie. Ein áskorun á dag hjá henni í heila viku, ég næ nú örugglega ekki að gera þær allar. Áskorunin í þetta sinn er að nota dýrastimpil og borða. Ég held að ég hafi gert svipað kort í fyrra, en það er nú allt í lagi, þetta er örugglega flottara :o)

Challenge #4 in Kraftin´ Kimmie´s celebration week. I love doing her challenges although I don´t think I´ll be able to do all 6 of them. The challenge this time is to use an animal stamp and some ribbon or ric rac. I think I made a card last year that looked a bit like this one, but that´s OK by me, I´m sure I like this one better anyway :o)

Kraftin´ Kimmie´s Birthday Celebrations #1

Fyrsta áskorun afmælisvikunnar hjá Kimmie :o) Áskorunin er að gera afmæliskort og nota fjólublátt. Ég veit ekki hvað það er, en ég er ekki alveg sátt við þetta kort. Það verður samt að duga, fyrst ég veit ekki hvað það er sem angrar mig við það get ég varla breytt því :o)

First challenge in Kraftin´Kimmies Birthday Celebrations :o) The challenge is to make a birthday card and use purple. I am not quite happy about this card, but since I can´t put my finger on what is bothering me about it it will have to do :o)

Scrapmagasinet reader challenge #7

Áskorunin í þetta sinn hjá Scrapmagasinet DT-stelpunum er að nota rautt og bleikt. Ég er ekki vön að nota þessa liti saman, en ég er samt ánægð með þetta kort.

This time the Scrapmagasinet DT-girls challenge us to use the colors pink and red. I don´t often use these colors together, but I like how this card turned out. I paper pieced Krilla´s coat with softly striped paper and I like the way it looks.

Skrapp í {kort}er #6

Gerði þetta kort eftir skissunni á Skrapp í {kort}er blogginu. Ákvað að breyta aðeins til frá stimplun og litun og prófaði að prenta út vintage mynd til að nota. Mér finnst þetta bara koma vel út og ætla að prófa fleiri myndir.

I made this card following this sketch on the Icelandic Skrapp í {kort}er blog. I decided to try something different from stamping and coloring this time so I printed this vintage photo on my printer. I like how this card turned out and I will definately try some more vintage images soon.

Sukkersött #25

Eitt strákakortið enn, í þetta sinn fylgdi ég skissu á Sukkersött blogginu. Að vísu speglaði ég skissuna til að hún passaði myndinni betur. Ég reyndi að nýta sólskinið og taka myndina þannig að glimmerið sæist bæði í vængjunum og miðjunni á blóminu, en því miður sést það ekki nógu vel í blóminu.

One more boy card, this time following Maya´s sketch on the Sukkersött blog. I mirrored the sketch to make it fit the image better. I tried to use the sunshine while taking the picture so that you could see that both the wings and the center of the flower are glittery but unfortunately it didn´t work out quite like I hoped it would.

Annað kort fyrir áskorun #5 á Skrapp í {kort}er blogginu þar sem á að nota slaufur/borða. Ég er að koma mér í strákagírinn, þarf nefnilega að gera nokkur strákakort.

Skrapp í {kort}er #5, Katharina´s sketch #35

Þetta einfalda kort ætla ég að senda gömlum manni í henni Ameríku, hann er reyndar afi Tinu sem á High Hopes stimplabúðina. Ég lét súkkulaðistykki fylgja með og braut kortið til að passa utan um það. Slaufan er bara límd undir textanum og svo bundin utan um allt saman. Ég notaði skissu #35 frá Katharinu. Þetta kort er mitt framlag í slaufuáskorunina á Skrapp í {kort}er blogginu. Hér er svo hægt að lesa um ástæðu þess að ég er að senda afanum þetta kort :o)

I am sending this simple card to an elderly gentleman in USA, he is the grandfather of Tina, the owner of High Hopes Stamps. Inside the card is a piece of Icelandic chocolate so I folded the card to fit around it. The ribbon is glued under the sentiment, and then tied around the whole thing. I used Katharina´s sketch #35, I love her sketches. I am entering this card in challenge #5 on the Icelandic challenge blog Skrapp í {kort}er where ribbon is the thing this time.
